Instructors
Ronald Fielder
Mr. Fielder is a 34-year
veteran of the Metro Nashville Police Department serving
initially as a patrol officer and then a K-9 officer,
eventually serving in supervisory roles for both
departments. He also became Sergeant of the Criminal
Intelligence Section and was responsible for tracking
persistent violent offenders and assisting the FBI
anti-terrorism task force. He retired in 2003 as the SWAT
teams' senior firearms instructor after years as the SWAT
entry team leader and sniper team leader. He is currently a rangemaster at the prestigious Gunsite Academy in Paulden,
AZ.
Mr. Fielder has participated in numerous firearms and
tactical training courses nationwide including those offered
by Yavapai Firearms Academy, Thunder Ranch, Gunsite, and the
Heckler & Koch International Training Division. He earned
the "Instructor's Choice Award" after four weeks of grueling
special response team training at the Department of Energy's
Central Training Academy in Albuquerque, NM. He has won
individual gold medals in shooting and martial arts in
national police competitions and team gold medals in Police
K-9 field trials. He has also attended both Glock and Colt
armorer’s classes.
Mr. Fielder is a NRA-certified Tactical Police Instructor, a
NRA Distinguished Expert pistol shooter, and a NRA-certified
handgun instructor. He is P.O.S.T.-certified as an
instructor in police pistol, rifle, shotgun, and SWAT. He is
also a member of the National Tactical Officers Association
(NTOA), the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET),
and the International Association of Law Enforcement
Firearms Instructors (IALEFI). He is a Life Member of the
NRA. |

John M.
L. Brown graduated cum laude
from Vanderbilt University in 1970 and served in
the United States Navy from 1970 to 1974. In 1977,
following graduation from Vanderbilt Law School, he entered
the private practice of law in Nashville, Tennessee. His

For many
years, Mr. Brown has been engaged by the local chapter of
the Fraternal Order of Police to go to the scene of
police-involved shootings and other critical incidents to
ensure that officers' rights are protected. He frequently
represents officers in disciplinary proceedings and in
high-profile excessive-force litigation. He has been a
featured speaker at numerous seminars dealing with critical
incident issues, firearms litigation, ethical issues in
cases involving firearms, and police liability in the
federal courts.
Mr.
Brown has been a professional firearms instructor since
1987, and he has been the beneficiary of advanced training
at Chapman Academy, Yavapai Firearms Academy, Thunder Ranch,
and Gunsite. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar
Association, the Nashville Bar Association, and the National
Rifle Association, and an associate member of the FOP, the
American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET) and the
International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms
Instructors (IALEFI). He is a staff member of the Police
Policy Studies Council.

Randolph A.
Veazey
Randolph A. Veazey is an attorney maintaining
an office in Nashville, Tennessee, and practicing in
Tennessee since 1979. In his professional practice he has
been involved with the defense of individuals and property
owners in cases involving security issues; the use and
misuse of firearms; and the defense of individuals and
property owners in the use of force in protection of patrons
and property. He has completed hundreds of hours of firearms
training at PRI, Gunsite Academy, Yavapai Firearms Academy,
and has participated in edged weapons training with the
Operational Skills Group. Mr. Veazey has been a State of
Tennesee certified Handgun Instructor at PRI since November
2004.

Michelle Lewis
Michelle Lewis is the office administrator of
PRI. She has been certified as a Tennessee State Handgun
Instructor since October 2004, following firearms training
at PRI, Gunsite Academy, and the Yavapai Firearms Academy.
Ms. Lewis has completed many hours of training in the
defensive use of shoulder-fired and handheld firearms.

Aubrey Parker Aubrey Parker has
trained extensively with PRI since 1996 and has been
instructing since 1998. He has also trained at Gunsite
Academy and Yavapai Firearms Academy and with the
Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the United States
Department of Energy, and the Federal Bureau of
Investigation. He is certified as a handgun instructor by
the National Rifle Association and the State of Tennessee.
Mr. Parker has three years of law enforcement experience as
a Reserve Deputy with the Williamson County Sheriff's
Department.
